Pelican Playgrounds is proud to sponsor the Louisiana Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (LCASLA) Annual Crawfish Boil, and we’re saving you a seat at the table!
There are few things more Louisiana than a crawfish boil under the oaks. Add a crowd of talented landscape architects, a beautiful new park, and great conversation about the outdoor spaces that make our communities thrive, and you’ve got our kind of Saturday afternoon.
Event Details
This year’s event takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from noon to 2:00 PM at Royland Park (800 Randolph Ave, Harahan, LA 70123). Whether you’re a long-time LCASLA member or thinking about getting more involved with the chapter, this is the event to be at this spring!
Tickets are $20 for LCASLA members and $25 for non-members. Register here before spots fill up.
A Park Worth Arriving Early For
This year’s venue holds a special place for our team. In 2025, Pelican Playgrounds completed a volunteer community build at Royland Park, transforming it into an inclusive, multigenerational play space for the town of Harahan.
The playground features inclusive equipment donated by our manufacturing partners, including a wide Mighty Descent Slide and PlayCubes climbing tower by Playworld, the interactive Sona Dance and Play Arch by Lappset, a Community Helpers PlayTown playhouse for early childhood play, natural wood structures by Earthscape, and thrilling fitness equipment from TrekFit.
As summer approaches, the playground has all its finishing touches in place and is ready for a party! We’re proud of what this community built together, and we think it makes for a pretty great backdrop for the crawfish boil.
Our Commitment to Louisiana Landscape Architects
At Pelican Playgrounds, we believe that great outdoor spaces start with great relationships. Landscape architects are at the heart of the parks, playgrounds, and recreation spaces we help bring to life across Louisiana and Mississippi, and events like these are where those partnerships are built. We’re committed to supporting Louisiana’s landscape architects who are doing meaningful work, designing important recreation spaces, and bringing big ideas to life.
